Very interesting for us Americvans how other hybrid of local cultures conceptualizes representative democracy. We tend to overstress direct voting as the defining feature of democracy ( plusd others) but they strive that multiparty system elects one and than consolidates the rest. We polarize our political system in Madison style - it is not just lack of personal culture that candidacts in teh last stage lunch invectives - it is like that polarization process took over and run over. I do not see this polarization healthy. But I do not see how we can switch to representative democracy ( that we expect of other countries) either because how ingraned is the polarization pattern. A lot more to check in this area. Amongst these - how Europeans do with emrging the representative top without polarizing everything, everybody and every word. I am personally curious what so great in wahat they do, and how ios that easier there and are there advantages in comparison with us.
